Did you know that less than 25% of tech sales positions are held by women - even less if you are a woman of colour! We created the Women in Tech Sales Bootcamp to change that.

Through the Women in Tech Sales Bootcamp program we’ve helped over 80 employers gain access & hire more sales-ready, diverse women in tech sales. Hiring Partner programs are available at different levels of sponsorship: Gold, Silver and Bronze and hiring is unlimited, always.

WHAT IS WITS BOOTCAMP?

The WITS Bootcamp is an industry-vetted, 5-day (virtual) training program that teaches the art and science of B2B SaaS tech sales and matches them with top employers ready to hire.

Since its inception in 2018, WITS has trained over 500 women and our community continues to grow. On average, 75% of WITS graduates receive at least 1 job offer within 30 days of graduating.

How it works:

  • Participate as a WITS Hiring Partner at the sponsorship level that works for you - Gold, Silver, Bronze

  • Host a session or speak on a panel during the training week (depends on level)

  • Receive copies of resumes, bio books & videos of all bootcampers in advance of the hiring event

  • Promote your company on social media as a partner and a great place for women to work

  • Interview all bootcampers on the last day of training

  • Hire as many bootcampers as you can - hiring is unlimited!

HIRING PARTNER FAQS

  • The bootcamp is typically made up of 70% women with 0-5 years of work experience with transferable sales related skills & 30% with over 5 years. Many participants are looking to brush up on their sales skills and/or pivot their sales career into tech specifically.

  • The bootcamp is a 5-day program that runs from 10-3pm EST each day (approximately). There is also homework assignments provided daily (approximately 1 hour per day). The last day of bootcamp is designated for speed interviews where hiring partners have the opportunity to meet every student.

  • We interview every student to determine a good fit with the program. Students must be committed to a career in sales and showcase attributes that make a strong salesperson ie: resilience, confidence, empathy, listening skills, solutions-oriented, analytical and strong relationship building skills.

  • Participants learn the art and science of tech sales including but not limited to:

    How to build a value proposition

    Customer discovery

    Preparing and executing sales calls

    Presentation skills

    Lead generation and management

    Handling objections

    How to negotiate & close deals

    How to sell virtually

  • Enterprise and scale up tech firms and everything in between. We work to match students with our employer partners and do our best to provide a variety of employers and job seekers to our community. We’ve worked with over 80 logos in Canada ie: Softchoice, Ceridian, Clio, TouchBistro, Tulip, Salesforce, Hubly, Moneris, Shinydocs, Leyton, and many more helping them hire more women in tech sales.

  • Hiring is unlimited - you can hire as many bootcampers as you can from each cohort. Our partner pricing is intentionally low to ensure that the bootcamp is accessible for participants and employers. While there is no guarantee we are committed to ensuring that you realize value in our partnership. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure our mutual success. Most of our hiring partners have participated in more than one event.

  • We cast a wide net to attract a diverse pool of students to the program. We promote the program through the following channels:

    University and College career centers and alumni programs

    Exclusive partnerships with community and educational institutions

    Social media and paid/sponsored ads

    Media partners and Tech support groups

    Databases and curated contact lists

    Referrals & Bootcamp alumni

    On average over 50% of our bootcampers come through referrals from alumni & community partners - which demonstrates the value of the program!

    Note: The program is also free for Indigenous women.

  • Typically there are 18-25 bootcampers per cohort.
